A long drive today from Izmir to Antalya on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey.
Pamukkale (which means “cotton castle”) is a hot spring which contains lime and sulphur and coats the rocks it flows over with white. It has been famous since ancient times and the Greek city of Hieropolis grew up around it.
After our three hours at Pamakkale and Hierapolis we finished the drive to the resort. It’s in Antalya. We will be here for two nights.
