Antalya is a very large city on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. We stayed at a seaside hotel. One of its towers is round and rotated so that every room gets a sea view in turn. We stayed in the main tower with a permanent sea view.

The tour from Antalya went out to the ancient city of Perge, the first city of Asia Minor visited by Paul and his first missionary journey. It has a large stadium and theatre.

The main street was very wide and had a river running down the center of it.

After Perge we went on to Aspendos where a very well preserved theatre exists. So well preserved that it is still in use. It was set up for a performance of Aida.

Finally we went to the Antalya museum which was very well laid out and contained many things from Perge. The most impressive, to me, was the statue of a dancing woman with her flowing garment all done in marble.
